Finally a home

Can’t wait.  Can’t wait.  Can’t wait to get on that train.  As I’ve written in other blogs, I hope this trip will inspire me to write a book or at least put a up a credible website that will establish the backpacker trail of the philipppines.  I plan to do it this summer, so that I can hit everything.

Here is my tentative Rota:

Manila–Naga Check out the vaunted Camsur Waterpark

Naga–Legaspi Check out the bee-yoo-tee-ful city

I’ve already been to Donsol, so I don’t know

Legaspi–Matnog Cross Over.  I should check out the surfing resorts of Samar, just for the heck off it.  And check out the location of the Balangiga Massacre.  I also want to check out the Sohoton Natural Bridge (karsts!)  I might also be able to go to Homonhon Island.

Tacloban — Eat Lechon

Ormoc–Southern Leyte — Check out the Whalesharks and diving in this area (Sogod Bay)

Cross over into Surigao — Check out Siargao

Surigao–CDO Check out whitewater rafting

Camiguin

CDO-Zamboanga

Zamboanga–Tawi-Tawi — Check out Sitangkai

Zamboanga–Sandakan — Check out the Orangutans.  Shit, now how do I get back, lol.  Probably take the boat back to Zamboang and fly home

Finally a title

I’ve been puttering about for quite awhile, looking for an apt name for my traveller website.

Well here it is.  It was always obvious.  But sometimes the most obvious is what you miss the most.

This website will officially start once that damn PNR line to Bicol opens.  Then I’ll hope across to Samar/Leyte.  Siargao, CDO/Camiguin, Zamboanga, (hopefully Sitangkai) and off to Sandakan.

The other rota would be Batangas, Mindoro, Boracay, Bacolod, Negros, Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor, CDO/Camiguin, Zamboanga, Sandakan.

Or a simpler Batangas, Mindoro, Boracay, Negros, Zamboanga.

The grand tour Manila, Bicol, Samar, Leyte, Siargao, CDO/Camiguin, Bohol, Cebu, Negros, Boracay, Mindoro, Manila.  Or simply the other way.  Manila, Batangas, Boracay, Negros, Siquijor, CDO/Camiguin, Siargao, Leyte, Samar, Bicol, Manila.  The other way is more appealing.
